WW1 Centenary Commemorations


This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the ending of


the First World War.


A war that changed the lives of everyone.


We will be marking the occasion with a week of events:



Sunday. 11 November:


10.30am     Service of Remembrance including a 2 minute silence


04.00pm    StJohn's@4 :  A service of reflection on WW1



Monday  -  Saturday, 12 - 17 November:


Remembrance Exhibition


St John's church will be open from 10am to 5pm each day to view the Poppy display;


our There But Not There figures and the Exhibition commemorating members of the 


local community who lost their lives in the war; Voluntary Aid Detachment; essential 


service workers and much more........



Wednesday, 14 November:


12 noon:    A special Lunchtime Recital including music and poetry to commemorate the 

   

                  ending of WW1



Sunday. 18 November:  


The Poppy display and Exhibition will be available to view after both the 10.30am and


the StJohn's@4 service.
